He smiled.
A genuine smile.
And since that first smiled, he has done it a million more times and every single time it makes my heart melt.
(sigh)
The emotion in his eyes.
The feeling that this is his way of giving the world a glimmer of his personality is by far the greatest thing to watch!
(sigh again)
Updates:
We had a wonderful 4th of July---minus it being 150 degrees! My goodness....the sunshine monster is out to get us this summer which has spoiled many of our morning jaunts!
Thanks to Emily W for purchasing his adorable 4th of July outfit..precious!!
We had a bit of a scare as James decided not to poop for three days straight---which led mommy to freak out and want to run to the emergency room. (Jamie laughs) But in all seriousness....a constipated baby isn't a happy baby. Both the doctor and we believe he is constipated due to the formula we are giving him. However, we were told to stick with it as this is what he will receive after we run out of my supply. And trust me, when he finally pooped---it was the equivalent of 17 poops in one.
Massive.
Watery.
Front and Back.
Blow Out.
Disaster.
Took both Jamie and I to handle it. Unreal.
Other news:
James will be baptized on July 28th and Jamie thinks that he doesn't need a baptismal gown----only a white onsie or nothing (shocker right?!)
I had my first weekend away from him and it was extremely hard but he was in good hands with Daddy and Grandma Kathy!! The weekend was a success though---Ms. Jami Coates will soon be Mrs. Jami Brown!!!
That is all for now. We have a busy week ahead of us: Jamie has over 10 tests at DMU (good preparation for National Boards), we are taking another road trip to Omaha to see Great Grandpa and Great Aunt Lynnie, saying goodbye to Emily and Luke Widstrom as they move to MN (sad face) and then be reunited with Nicole (hottest piece of arse from AZ)!!! SO CRAZY!!
Until then.....wishing you a wonderful week........
(pray for daily poops........that would be much appreciated)
Love,
